Temporary Leaf and Brush Drop-off Center

In case you didn’t hear, Clay and Platte counties have been placed under a federal and state quarantine due to the presence of the Emerald Ash Borer pest.

Due to the quarantine, Clay and Platte county residents may not use the Chouteau Trafficway and Raytown Road drop-off sites to dispose of woody debris created by this past week’s snowstorms.

Instead, the City has set up a third, temporary Leaf and Brush Drop-off Center for residents who live in Clay and Platte counties. This temporary site is located at the Pleasant Valley Road Athletic Complex, 6401 N.E. Pleasant Valley Road. in Liberty.

The City of Kansas City, Mo., Leaf and Brush Drop-off Centers will be open for the next two weekends. All drop-off centers will be open on March 9, 10, 16 and 17 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. This service is free for residents. Please bring proof of residency.

Kansas City is anticipating a new drop off location opening in mid-to-late March up on Cookingham Rd.
